The Snoopy’s Home Ice, as it is commonly called is an indoor ice rink in Santa Rosa, California, United States. It was owned and constructed by Charles M. Schulz, the creator of Peanuts, which was opened on April 28, 1969. Joyce Schulz, his first wife, created, designed, and operated this ice arena initially.

Snoopy’s Home Ice or the Red Empire Ice Arena offers public skating, figure skating (junior and adult figure skating), private ice time, and adult and junior hockey. In the summer, Santa Rosa also hosts the annual Snoopy’s Senior World Hockey Tournament, in which 64 senior teams from all around the world compete for one week. The arena has approximately 500 permanent seats for hockey games but can accommodate up to 3,000 for concerts and other events. Additionally, the Santa Rosa Flyers junior hockey team, the Santa Rosa Figure Skating Club, and the Cardinal Newman High School hockey team call the arena home.

The Snoopy’s Home Ice arena, which is located across the street from the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center, is home to The Warm Puppy Café, which serves cafe beverages and meals.

Snoopy’s Gallery and Gift Shop, located across the parking lot from the Arena, sells Peanuts-related merchandise as well as figure skating and hockey equipment.

The ice rink was closed and renovated in the summer of 2019 for the first time since the arena opened 50 years ago. Snoopy’s Home Ice was reopened for use in November.

Snoopy’s Home Ice is also home to the Santa Rosa Growlers, a new Mountain West Hockey League Senior A team.

Snoopy’s Home Ice has been recognized as the world’s most beautiful ice arena because of its elegance, gigantic Redwoods in the facade, and a Swiss Alpine village atmosphere. Snoopy’s Home Ice delivers an experience, unlike any other ice rink.
